Soccer Recap: Page Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Page was not quite Wickenburg's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell just short of the Wickenburg Wranglers by a score of 1-0. The Sand Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wranglers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2021.

This is the second loss in a row for Page and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for Wickenburg, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Page will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Seton Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Wickenburg, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Glendale Prep Academy on the 15th.
