Baseball Game Preview: Krum Bobcats vs. Kennedale Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Krum Bobcats take on Kennedale Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Krum's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Kennedale's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Krum made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Eagle Mountain, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Krum put the hurt on Eagle Mountain with a sharp 16-6 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Kennedale made sure to put some runs up on the board against Life Waxahachie on Tuesday. Kennedale had just enough and edged out Life Waxahachie 11-10.

Krum is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. The win got Kennedale back to even at 8-8.

Krum was able to grind out a solid victory over Kennedale when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 13-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for Krum since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
