Basketball Recap: Southwest Find Success

Arapahoe came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Southwest, but Houston Billeter wouldn't allow it. The Southwest Roughriders walked away with a 49-37 victory over the Arapahoe Warriors on Tuesday thanks in part to Billeter, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. What's more, he also racked up three steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Arapahoe lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Alex Diaz, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eli Shafer, who earned five points and six rebounds.

Southwest's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Arapahoe, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Southwest will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Alma at 7:00 p.m. As for Arapahoe, they will challenge Maywood/Hayes Center at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
