Football Game Preview: Morrison Wildcats vs. Pawnee Black Bears

For the first time this season, Morrison will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to face off against the Pawnee Black Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Morrison was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Regent Prep on Friday. The Wildcats blew past Regent Prep 43-21. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wildcats' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Pawnee didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Hominy on Friday, but they still walked away with a 38-34 win.

Pawnee now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Morrison, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Morrison took a serious blow against Pawnee in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, falling 42-6. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
