Recap: Yuma Criminals vs. Paradise Honors Panthers

The Yuma Criminals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 40-27 to Paradise Honors. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Yuma in their matchups with Paradise Honors: they've now lost seven in a row.

It was another big night for Morgan Van Dyke, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds for Paradise Honors. Jaelyn Perez was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six steals.

Yuma's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.3 points per game. As for Paradise Honors, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Yuma will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Moon Valley at 7:00 p.m. As for Paradise Honors, they will head out on the road to challenge Thunderbird at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thunderbird has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
