Basketball Recap: Wichita Homeschool Wins Going Away Against Herington

On Tuesday, the Wichita HomeSchool Warriors didn't have too much trouble with the Herington Railroaders as they won 59-41. That looming 59-41 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

Herington's loss came despite strong showings from Adrian Harrison and Leslyn Kremeier. Harrison dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards, while Kremeier went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points and three steals. Harrison is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Morgan Sill-Sheppard also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Wichita HomeSchool and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Herington, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wichita HomeSchool will challenge Oklahoma City Knights HomeSchool at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Herington, they will face off against Chase County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
