Basketball Game Preview: Salisbury Dragons vs. Delmarva Christian Royals

Salisbury and Delmarva Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Salisbury Dragons will head out on the road to challenge the Delmarva Christian Royals at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Salisbury comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Tuesday, Salisbury came up short against Worcester Prep and fell 50-37.

Meanwhile, Delmarva Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 62-49 to Arcadia.

Salisbury will have to keep a close watch on Darius Liles and Malachi Light, a pair of players who had a big impact on Delmarva Christian's prior game. Liles posted 11 points along with eight boards and five steals, while Light almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Those eight boards gave Liles a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of D J Liles, who earned nine points and eight rebounds.

Salisbury's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Delmarva Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.

Salisbury was dealt a bruising 71-35 loss at the hands of Delmarva Christian in their previous matchup on Thursday. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Salisbury was down 38-15.
