Basketball Recap: Three Straight Road Wins for Louisburg

Louisburg had won two straight road games and CHLOE ARRINGTON did her part to make it three on Friday. The Louisburg Warriors secured a 55-50 W over the Franklinton Red Rams thanks in part to ARRINGTON, who went 8 of 16 on her way to 24 points in addition to seven boards and five blocks. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of BRAELYN WALKER, who posted six points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Franklinton lost, don't look at Meredith Wilkins. Despite the final result, she had 16 points. The dominant performance gave Wilkins a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Layla Perry, who put up six points.

Louisburg has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Franklinton, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Louisburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-59 defeat against North Raleigh Christian Academy on the 16th. As for Franklinton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-40 victory against Roanoke Rapids on the 17th.
