Basketball Game Preview: Manhattan Center for Science & Math Rams vs. Randolph Campus Cougars

After both having extra time off, the Manhattan Center for Science & Math Rams and the Randolph Campus Cougars will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Manhattan Center for Science & Math is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Manhattan Center for Science & Math came up short against Percy Sutton and fell 57-46. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Percy Sutton are ranked 110th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Randolph Campus). They blew past Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus, posting a 104-34 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 34 points or more this season.

Manhattan Center for Science & Math's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-4. As for Randolph Campus, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Manhattan Center for Science & Math was taken down by Randolph Campus 57-23 in their previous matchup on December 5th. Can Manhattan Center for Science & Math avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
