Softball Game Preview: Glenn Bobcats vs. Davie War Eagles

Glenn is 0-10 against Davie since April of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Bobcats will welcome the War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Glenn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

Glenn took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Forsyth Home Educators get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.

Not much got past Addyson Irving, who gave up just two hits and racked up 19 Ks to keep Forsyth Home Educators off the board. Those 19 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Irving.

At the plate, Glenn let Kendall Fraas and Erin Murnane run wild. Fraas went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run, while Murnane got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one double. That triple was Fraas' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lexie Edwards, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Davie made easy work of Parkland on Tuesday and carried off a 17-2 win. The result was nothing new for the War Eagles, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Davie has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Glenn, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10.
