Basketball Recap: Mesquite Starts Season with Loss at Home

Mesquite unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 80-72 to the Pearce Mustangs on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 14 in a row.

Coming up, Mesquite won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lovejoy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pearce, they and Timber Creek will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
