Baseball Recap: Pine Crest Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Pine Crest and Calvary Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pine Crest had to settle for second. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 22-15.

Pine Crest saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max McCawley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double. Cole Kaplan was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Pine Crest's loss dropped their record down to 14-6-2. As for Calvary Christian Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9-3.

As of now, neither Pine Crest nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
