Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Islip). Everything went their way against the Rocky Point Eagles on Thursday as they made off with an 18-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Buccaneers considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Jake Urban, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Haug, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Islip always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Islip's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-4. As for Rocky Point, they moved to 7-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Islip will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
