Medina dropped their record down to 7-6 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 9-6 to the Ellet Orangemen. The Battling Bees were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Orangemen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Ryann Allar made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

As for Ellet, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

On Ellet's side, Rylie Sprouse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. Sprouse has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Norman, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Keyli Myers was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Coming up, Medina will head out to challenge Shaker Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ellet, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nordonia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Orangemen are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
