Volleyball Recap: Caney Valley Takes a Loss

Caney Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Halstead Dragons. If the Bullpups were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-6.

Hannah Wyrick paced Caney Valley's offense, picking up three kills. Wyrick got some help from Emma Marshall and her two assists. Finally, Wyrick was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Caney Valley's loss dropped their record down to 21-18. As for Halstead, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Caney Valley nor Halstead have any future games scheduled.
