Basketball Recap: DeWitt Comes Up Short

DeWitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 59-49 to the Cadillac Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Vikings are ranked 57th).

DeWitt's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Cadillac, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeWitt will welcome East Lansing at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Cadillac, they will square off against Petoskey at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cadillac knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Petoskey likes a good challenge.
