Basketball Recap: Eastern Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Eastern had won two straight road games and Addison Smith did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Eastern Musketeers blew past the Mitchell Bluejackets 62-11 thanks in part to Smith, who posted six points along with nine steals and eight assists. She has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Hauner, who put up eight points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Eastern is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Mitchell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Eastern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-39 loss against West Washington on the 12th. As for Mitchell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-13 defeat against Crawford County on the 12th.
