Volleyball Recap: Cloverdale Comes Up Short

Cloverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Edgewood Mustangs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Clovers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-16.

Edgewood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kelianys Rosario-Aguilar out in front who had 16 digs and three assists. With that strong performance, Rosario-Aguilar is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Cora Emmons, who had seven digs and one assist.

Cloverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Edgewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Cloverdale has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against White River Valley on the 2nd. As for Edgewood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Bloomington North on the 2nd.
