Beaumont won the last time they faced Heritage, and Leandro Torres did his part to make sure it happened again. The Beaumont Cougars walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Heritage Patriots on Friday for which the team can thank Torres, who had ten digs. Those ten digs gave him a new career-high.

Beaumont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-19.

Beaumont's record is now 5-3. As for Heritage, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Beaumont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Moreno Valley on the 8th. As for Heritage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Vista del Lago on the 11th.
