North Phoenix Preparatory Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Bagdad Sultans with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Gladiators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: North Phoenix Preparatory Academy took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-8, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Coco Veatch, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in November of 2024. Maya Pesheva also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: North Phoenix Preparatory Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.

North Phoenix Preparatory Academy's record now sits at 14-4. As for Bagdad, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
