Softball Recap: Mart Takes a Loss

Mart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Riesel Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 last Tuesday.

Mart now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Riesel, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Mart Panthers face off against Hubbard Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mart's pitchers better be ready for this one: Hubbard has averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Riesel, they will challenge Dawson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dawson has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.75 runs per game on average), something Riesel will no doubt try to take advantage of.
