Baseball Recap: Northside Comes Up Short

Northside fell victim to Von Steuben and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Northside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Weigand, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Nick Kuffel also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Northside's record is now 2-4. As for Von Steuben, their record now sits at 5-2-2.

Looking ahead, Northside will be playing at home against Disney II at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Von Steuben, they will square off against Lane Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
