Baseball Recap: Warren Township's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Warren Township had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 17-12 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lake Forest Academy Caxys a 13-0 shutout. The Blue Devils' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

As for Lake Forest Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

For Lake Forest Academy's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Tucker, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Looking ahead, Warren Township will host Elk Grove at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lake Forest Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
