Baseball Recap: Starkville Academy Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Starkville Academy's offense. They came up short against the Magnolia Heights Chiefs on Thursday, falling 13-0. The loss continues a trend for the Volunteers in their meetings with the Chiefs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Starkville Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Magnolia Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Starkville Academy will challenge rival Heritage Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. Meanwhile, Magnolia Heights is set to square off against their familiar foe Pillow Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
