Volleyball Recap: Kimball Longhorns vs. Mitchell Tigers
Kimball was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mitchell Tigers. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.
Kimball started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 28-30, 25-22, 25-19.
Clarika Hottell paced Kimball's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hottell got some help from Grace Moore and her ten assists.
Kimball's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Mitchell, their victory ended a seven-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-24.
