Softball Game Preview: Cascade Bruins vs. Glacier Peak Grizzlies

Cascade is 0-5 against Glacier Peak since April of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Bruins will host the Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. Cascade has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cascade and Stanwood meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Bruins lost 12-1 to the Spartans. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Bruins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Tessa Hahn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Glacier Peak faced Snohomish in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Thursday. The Grizzlies came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 4-2. The win was familiar territory for the Grizzlies, who have now won six matches in a row.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Glacier Peak, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
