Basketball Recap: Reagan Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Reagan and LEE, and LEE kept the tradition alive. The Rattlers took a 63-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Volunteers on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rattlers of the 55-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Rosanelly Pastrano was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 30 points and nine steals for LEE. The matchup was Pastrano's 55th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilah Yanover, who went 6-for-14 en route to 20 points.

Reagan's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for LEE, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Reagan is set to take on their familiar foe Churchill at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, LEE will challenge rival Johnson at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
