Volleyball Recap: St. Louis Park Victorious

St. Louis Park lost to Century back in October of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Orioles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Panthers.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was St. Louis Park who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-27, 15-10.

Century lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Emma Greene, who had nine digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Amelia Fratzke, who had nine digs and one assist.

St. Louis Park now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Century, they moved to 13-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coming up, St. Louis Park will face off against Minneapolis Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Century, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mounds View on the 4th.
