 The team  relied heavily on  Myles Cobb, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Brycen Newsome, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 Holmes' victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Arendell Parrott Academy,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 11-4.
 Holmes will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Currituck County at 7:00  p.m. Currituck County is coming into the  matchup with five straight  losses on the road,  meaning Holmes will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  win. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they will  take on John Paul II Catholic at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. John Paul II Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.9  runs per game  this season.
