The Daniel Academy Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Christ Prep Academy Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
While The Daniel Academy's victory against Heartland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 win over the Mustangs on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The Daniel Academy let Hud Hanson and Isaiah Shore run wild. Hanson went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Shore went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The Daniel Academy is undefeated when Hanson posts two or more runs, but 1-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Runyan, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Christ Prep Academy posted their closest win since March 24th on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Plaza Heights Christian Academy, sneaking past 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.
Joshua Neland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.
At the plate, Christ Prep Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Neland, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
The Daniel Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Christ Prep Academy, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
