Soccer Recap: Helix Comes Up Short

Helix was the 3-0 winner over Monte Vista when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Helix Highlanders came up short against the Monte Vista Monarchs on Wednesday, falling 4-1.

Helix's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 8-2-2. As for Monte Vista, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Helix has already played their next game (against Santana), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Monte Vista will face off against Valhalla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Monte Vista is facing Valhalla at the right time seeing as Valhalla is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
