Basketball Recap: T.W. Andrews Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

T.W. Andrews extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Janiya Milligan. The T.W. Andrews Red Raiders came out on top against the Western Alamance Warriors by a score of 60-52 on Wednesday thanks in part to Milligan, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Jana Brown, who posted four points. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Western Alamance's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tina Bowers, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most points Bowers has posted since back in March of 2024. Cayden White was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 15 boards.

T.W. Andrews' victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.2 points. As for Western Alamance, their loss dropped their record down to 17-4.

Coming up, T.W. Andrews will venture away from home to challenge Walkertown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. T.W. Andrews is facing Walkertown at the right time seeing as Walkertown is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Western Alamance, they have already played their next matchup, a 59-13 win against Cedar Ridge on the 7th.
