Recap: Cross Roads Bobcats vs. Bishop Gorman Crusaders
The Cross Roads Bobcats lost against the Bishop Gorman Crusaders back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Cross Roads had to suffer through a rough 63-27 loss at the hands of Bishop Gorman. While losing is never fun, Cross Roads can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1393rd, while Bishop Gorman is ranked 467th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Gorman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evan Thibodeaux, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Richbourg, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Cross Roads bumped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bishop Gorman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
Cross Roads will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lovelady at 2:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Bishop Gorman and Cumberland Academy will round out the year against one another at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday at. Cumberland Academy is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
