After a string of five wins, Colfax's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Durand-Arkansaw Panthers, falling 53-33. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Colfax's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4. As for Durand-Arkansaw, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colfax will square off against Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Prescott is on a three-game streak of home wins, Colfax a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Durand-Arkansaw, they will face off against Baldwin-Woodville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin-Woodville will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Durand-Arkansaw surely won't give up without a fight.
