Football Game Preview: Marty Indian Braves vs. St. Francis Indian Warriors

The Marty Indian Braves will take on the St. Francis Indian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marty Indian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

Marty Indian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Crazy Horse to the tune of 62-8 on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Braves with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, St. Francis Indian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Winnebago 50-0. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 69th in South Dakota, while the Indians are ranked ninth in Nebraska).

Marty Indian's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for St. Francis Indian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Marty Indian was dealt a bruising 66-12 defeat at the hands of St. Francis Indian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Braves, Ethan Spotted Tail (who rushed for 104 yards and two scores, and also threw for 117 yards and three TDs on only nine passes) won't be suiting up this time.
