A Region 7 recap September 10, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Glascock County, who defeated 370th ranked Glascock County, 28-7.

Aquinas scaled the state rankings by moving to 80 from 151 this week, the biggest jump in A Region 7. The Fightin' Irish were able to make move up by topping George Walton Academy 19-16.

Hancock Central's dynamic duo of Montkevious Fluellen and Markel Jones proved to be unstoppable against East Laurens, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fluellen threw for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns and Jones had 105 yards receiving.

The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of Fluellen and Jones proved tough for the Falcons to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Jones was the best receiver in the league this week as Hancock Central beat East Laurens.

Fluellen put up the best numbers through the air as Zackery Harris' team topped the Falcons.

Ruben Garnett was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 175 yards on 30 carries as Aquinas beat East Laurens. Teammate John Morris added to the ground attack by rushing for 12 yards.

Garnett provided a threat through the air and on the ground as James Leonard's team defeated the Bulldogs. Garnett's key target this week was Daniel Lindsey, who caught 4 passes for 59 yards.

Hancock Central's Fluellen and Jones have formed a dream team this season, leading A Region 7 in both passing and receiving yards. 5-9 quarterback Fluellen has thrown for 230 yards this season, while Jones has 5 catches for 159 yards. Garnett from the Fightin' Irish leads the league in rushing with 290 yards.

Georgia Military College was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from eighth to fourth in the league. The Bulldogs beat the Panthers 28-7 earlier in the week.
