Soccer Recap: Woodgrove Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

After failing to score in their last match, Woodgrove made sure to put some goals up on the board against Broad Run on Monday. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 4-2. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Woodgrove's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Broad Run are ranked 219th).

Woodgrove has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season. As for Broad Run, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Woodgrove is set to square off against their familiar foe Loudoun County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Broad Run will face off against rival Park View at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
