Recap: Dixie Greyhounds vs. Arcanum Trojans
Even though the Dixie Greyhounds have not done well against the Arcanum Trojans recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Dixie walked away with a 56-49 victory over Arcanum. The win made it back-to-back wins for Dixie.
Despite the defeat, Arcanum saw an underclassman step up: Regan Christ scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Caleb Burke was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Arcanum struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Dixie pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Arcanum, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Dixie will be home for the holidays to greet Franklin Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Franklin Monroe is ranked 162nd, while Dixie is ranked 168th). As for Arcanum, they will head out on the road to face off against Tri-Village at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Village will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
