Baseball Game Preview: Madison Comprehensive Rams vs. Mansfield Senior Tygers

For the second straight game, Madison Comprehensive will face off against Mansfield Senior. The Rams will be playing at home against the Tygers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Madison Comprehensive needed a bit of extra time to put away Mansfield Senior. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Tygers. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Elijah Fox spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Madison Comprehensive's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Julian Washington, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Washington a new career-high. Aiden Proctor was another, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Mansfield Senior and nudges their season record down to 7-10. As for Madison Comprehensive, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 2-15.
