Domanic Vallejo leads Brawley to victory over Palo Verde Valley

There's no place like home for the Brawley Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Wednesday. They snuck past Palo Verde Valley with a 50-44 victory on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Brawley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Domanic Vallejo was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Brawley's points. Another player making a difference was Joaquin Lofton, who scored five points along with four steals.

Loss or not, Palo Verde Valley got some senior leadership from Rudy Armstrong who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and Ezekiel Gibson who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Donnelley, who scored eight points.

The victory got Brawley back to even at 9-9. As for Palo Verde Valley, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brawley will take on Holtville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holtville is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Palo Verde Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calexico at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calexico is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
