Recap: Calvary Academy Warrior vs. Cumberland Christian Crusaders
The Calvary Academy Warrior can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They strolled past Cumberland Christian with points to spare, taking the game 43-24. Calvary Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Calvary Academy found their leader in underclassman Made Leppard, who scored 25 points. It was the first time this season that Leppard scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Nelson, who scored eight points.
Calvary Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for Cumberland Christian, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.
Calvary Academy will take on the Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pilgrim Academy's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so the Warrior's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Cumberland Christian, they will head out on the road to take on the at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. King's Christian's defense has only allowed 27.1 points per game this season, so the Crusaders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
