Who's up and who's down

Even if things were shuffled around here and there, the power rankings for this week won't seem too unfamiliar if you've been following along. Don't let that fool you into thinking nothing interesting happened, though. That and more in this week's report.

A

It was a battle of top-notch squads when Central (2nd in the power rankings) took on Lee (16th) last week. Central breezed past Lee with a final score of 42 - 14. Even if it didn't bump Central up the rankings, the win at least kept team from dropping.

Can't Stop Won't Stop

It was another outing, another victory last week for the team with the longest stretch of success (12 consecutive games). McGill-Toolen earned a pretty comfortable 31 - 13 victory over Auburn. The win raised McGill-Toolen up three spots in the power rankings.

No Stoppin 'Em

The match between Lanier and Spanish Fort last week put some strain on the scoreboard; in fact, with a total of 74 final points, it was the highest scoring contest in the power rankings for the week. Spanish Fort took its game against Lanier by a confident 48 - 26 score. As a result, Spanish Fort rose two spots in the power rankings.
