Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty-Benton). They came out on top against the Columbus Grove Bulldogs by a score of 74-65 on Tuesday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 234th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty-Benton pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Columbus Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Liberty-Benton will head out on the road to take on Eastwood at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Columbus Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spencerville at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Spencerville will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Columbus Grove surely won't give up without a fight.
