Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Moeller Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Archbishop Moeller had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets on Saturday. The Fighting Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Archbishop Moeller never let Mt. Vernon on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-17.

Mt. Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Archbishop Moeller and Mt. Vernon will both be playing St. Ignatius the next time they take the court. Archbishop Moeller will head out to face St. Ignatius at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while Mt. Vernon will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
