Basketball Recap: Harding County Ranchers vs. Lemmon Cowboys
The Harding County Ranchers put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 56-43 victory over Lemmon. That's another feather in the cap for Harding County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jaelyn Wendt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. Kaylen Padden was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Harding County pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lemmon, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-2.
Harding County will take on the Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Dakota (Lemmon is ranked 34th, while the Ranchers are ranked 17th). As for Lemmon, they will take on the Ranchers at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Harding County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
