El Capitan entered their tilt with Golden Valley on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 6-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 22-2 victory last Monday.

Fabian Sotelo looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

At the plate, El Capitan's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Noah Ruiz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
