Basketball Game Preview: Quincy Jackrabbits vs. Othello Huskies

Quincy is 1-9 against Othello since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Quincy Jackrabbits will get right back to it and host the Othello Huskies at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Quincy is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ephrata. The contest marked the Jackrabbits' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Othello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 93-43 loss at the hands of Grandview. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Greyhounds are ranked 32nd).

Othello's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Quincy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Quincy lost to Othello at home by a decisive 58-44 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2020. Can Quincy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
