Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Triton). They put the hurt on the Western Harnett Eagles with a sharp 6-2 win on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what Triton needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

They hit Western Harnett with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Yazid Espinoza-Bocanegra (2), Erick Martinez (2), Caleb Miller, and Isidore Wibonto.

Triton's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Western Harnett, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Triton will square off against rival Union Pines at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Western Harnett is set to face off against their familiar foe South Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
