Basketball Game Preview: Sho-Ban Chiefs vs. Taylor's Crossing Eagles

The Sho-Ban Chiefs will take on the Taylor's Crossing Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Sho-Ban ended up a good deal behind Leadore and lost 52-35. The Chiefs have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Taylor's Crossing took a blow against Rockland on Tuesday, falling 52-11.

Despite the loss, Taylor's Crossing saw an underclassman step up: freshman Alexis Ellis posted two points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. Ellis is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reagan Smith, who had five points and three steals.

Sho-Ban's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Taylor's Crossing, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Sho-Ban was able to grind out a solid victory over Taylor's Crossing when the teams last played last Tuesday, winning 42-35. Will Sho-Ban repeat their success, or does Taylor's Crossing have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
