Basketball Recap: Penobscot Valley Comes Up Short

Penobscot Valley was the 82-53 winner over Woodland when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Penobscot Valley Howlers came up short against the Woodland Dragons on Friday, falling 61-41. The Howlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Penobscot Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Woodland, they moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penobscot Valley will venture away from home to challenge Greenville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodland, they will head out on the road to take on Mattanawcook at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Mattanawcook will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Woodland surely won't give up without a fight.
